The challenge facing today's utility operators isn't a lack of data. It's data paralysis. Without actionable intelligence or context, this data can’t be used to improve grid resilience.

In his recent EE T&D article “Grid Edge Automation Turns Utility Data into Measurable Resilience,”  S&C’s Kumar Chandran discusses the power of strategic technology integration, and the benefits this delivers to utilities and their customers.

Here are a few excerpts:

“After years of equipping our grid infrastructure with intelligent devices, we're producing unprecedented amounts of operational data. Still, many utilities find it difficult to turn these digital insights into concrete actions that genuinely improve grid performance and customer experience…

The solution isn’t about collecting more data, but about strategically integrating existing data streams with targeted automation technologies to generate actionable intelligence where it counts most: at the grid edge.”
